Digital Download & Refund Policy

Thank you for purchasing a digital publication from The Mood Ledger. Because our products are delivered digitally and provide access to downloadable editorial content, all purchases are subject to the following Digital Download & Refund Policy.

​

1. All Digital Sales Are Final

All purchases of digital products from The Mood Ledger are final and non-refundable once the order has been completed.

Digital products may include, but are not limited to:

  • Digital magazine issues

  • Special editions

  • Seasonal issues

  • PDF publications

  • Downloadable editorial features

  • Digital collections

  • Other downloadable content offered by The Mood Ledger

Because digital products cannot be physically returned once they have been delivered or made available for download, we do not generally provide refunds, exchanges, returns, or store credit. Please review the product title, description, edition, and other available information carefully before completing your purchase.

2. Download Problems

If you complete your purchase but are unable to access, open, or successfully download your digital file, please contact The Mood Ledger within three (3) calendar days of your purchase.

When contacting us, please include:

  • Your full name

  • The email address used for the purchase

  • Your order number or transaction confirmation, if available

  • The name of the digital product purchased

  • A brief description of the problem you are experiencing

Once the purchase has been verified, The Mood Ledger will make a reasonable effort to resolve the issue. If the original download link is not functioning properly, has expired unexpectedly, or the purchased file cannot otherwise be accessed, The Mood Ledger may send the purchased digital file directly to the email address associated with the verified order. Providing the replacement file directly is considered fulfillment of the original purchase and does not create eligibility for a refund.

3. Corrupted, Missing, or Defective Files

If the file itself is corrupted, incomplete, missing pages, or otherwise defective due to an error by The Mood Ledger, please contact us within three (3) calendar days of purchase.

After verification, we may:

  • Provide a corrected copy of the file;

  • Provide a replacement download link; or

  • Send the corrected file directly by email.

Our first remedy for a technical or file-related issue will generally be to replace or correct the digital product rather than issue a refund.

If The Mood Ledger determines that the purchased digital product cannot reasonably be delivered or replaced, a refund may be considered at our discretion.

4. Customer Device or Software Issues

The Mood Ledger cannot guarantee that every digital file will function on every device, browser, application, operating system, or PDF reader. Customers are responsible for having appropriate equipment and software necessary to access the purchased file.

Refunds will generally not be provided because of:

  • Lack of storage space on a customer's device;

  • Internet connectivity problems;

  • An outdated browser or PDF reader;

  • Device incompatibility;

  • Forgotten passwords or login credentials associated with the customer's own device or account;

  • Accidental deletion of the downloaded file;

  • Changes to a customer's personal device after purchase; or

  • A customer's decision not to read, use, or download the publication after purchasing it. However, we are happy to assist with reasonable download troubleshooting when contacted within the three-day support period.

5. Incorrect Email Address

Customers are responsible for entering an accurate email address when making a purchase. If you entered an incorrect email address, contact The Mood Ledger as soon as possible. We may request reasonable information to verify that you are the original purchaser before sending the digital file to a different email address.

6. Duplicate Purchases

Customers should review their order before submitting payment. If you accidentally purchase the same digital product more than once, contact The Mood Ledger within three (3) calendar days. After verifying that a true duplicate transaction occurred, The Mood Ledger may, at its discretion, refund the duplicate charge. This exception does not apply when different editions, issues, special editions, or products were intentionally purchased.

7. Change of Mind

Refunds will not be issued because a customer:

  • Changes their mind after purchasing;

  • No longer wants the publication;

  • Does not like a particular article, photograph, editorial perspective, topic, style, or opinion contained in the publication;

  • Expected content that was not specifically advertised as being included;

  • Purchased the wrong issue or edition;

  • Did not read the product description before purchasing; or

  • Did not ultimately download or read the purchased product.

The Mood Ledger is an editorial publication documenting events, places, experiences, atmosphere, observations, photographs, and related subject matter from its own editorial perspective.

A difference in personal opinion regarding the publication's content does not constitute a defective product.

8. Product Descriptions and Editorial Content

The Mood Ledger makes reasonable efforts to accurately describe each digital publication before purchase. Cover images, sample pages, previews, descriptions, titles, photographs, and promotional materials may be used to give customers an understanding of the publication. However, promotional previews may not represent every page, photograph, article, or feature contained in the complete digital product. Purchasing a publication does not guarantee that a particular person, performer, business, vendor, event participant, photograph, quote, topic, or experience will appear unless specifically stated in the product description.

9. Personal Use License

Unless otherwise stated, purchasing a digital publication from The Mood Ledger provides the purchaser with a limited license for personal, non-commercial use only. Purchase of a digital file does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

Customers may download and retain their purchased copy for personal use but may not, without written permission:

  • Resell the digital publication;

  • Redistribute the file;

  • Upload the complete publication to another website;

  • Share the purchased download link publicly;

  • Post the complete publication on social media;

  • Email or distribute copies to groups or mailing lists;

  • Reproduce substantial portions for commercial purposes;

  • Remove copyright, branding, or ownership notices;

  • Convert the publication into another product for resale; or

  • Claim the content as their own.

Each purchase is intended for the individual purchaser unless a separate license or written agreement states otherwise.

10. Unauthorized Sharing

Digital products from The Mood Ledger are protected intellectual property. Sharing a purchased digital file with individuals who have not purchased it may violate copyright and intellectual property rights. The Mood Ledger reserves the right to restrict future access to digital products or take other appropriate action where unauthorized redistribution, resale, reproduction, or commercial use is discovered.

 

11. Download Availability

Customers are encouraged to download and securely save their purchased digital files after completing their purchase.

The Mood Ledger does not guarantee that a particular download link, customer account, website page, or online delivery method will remain available indefinitely. Once a valid copy of the purchased file has been successfully provided, customers are responsible for maintaining their personal copy.

12. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Customers experiencing a legitimate problem with a digital purchase are encouraged to contact The Mood Ledger before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback. We will make reasonable efforts to investigate technical delivery problems and provide the purchased product when payment can be verified. If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed, The Mood Ledger may provide the applicable payment processor or financial institution with order records, download information, correspondence, and other documentation demonstrating delivery or attempted resolution of the transaction.

13. Cancellation

Because digital purchases may be processed and made available immediately, orders generally cannot be cancelled after payment has been completed. If an order has not yet been processed or delivered due to an unusual technical circumstance, The Mood Ledger may determine whether cancellation is appropriate on a case-by-case basis.

14. Purchases Made Through Third-Party Payment Platforms

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Those providers may maintain separate payment processing, security, dispute, or transaction policies. However, purchasing through a third-party payment processor does not change The Mood Ledger's general policy that digital product sales are final except where otherwise required by applicable law.

15. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to eliminate or restrict any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

If applicable law requires a refund or other remedy under circumstances not otherwise described in this policy, The Mood Ledger will comply with those requirements.

16. Contacting The Mood Ledger

For questions regarding your digital purchase, download access, or a defective file, please contact The Mood Ledger within three (3) calendar days of purchase. Please include enough information for us to locate and verify your transaction.

Please do not send sensitive financial information, complete credit or debit card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, or other confidential account information by email.

17. Policy Updates

The Mood Ledger reserves the right to revise or update this Digital Download & Refund Policy as the publication, website, products, or digital delivery methods evolve.

​

The policy in effect on the date of purchase will generally apply to that transaction. By completing a purchase from The Mood Ledger, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital product and agree to this Digital Download & Refund Policy.
