Getting Ready For Serendipity 2026

Before Serendipity even began, there was already a sense of anticipation. Part of that came from knowing what the event had been the year before. There was already an expectation around the fashion, the atmosphere, the music, and the kind of crowd that would show up. Getting ready was really about stepping into that energy before arriving.
The outfit had to feel right for the occasion. The hair, accessories, and overall look were part of the experience because Serendipity has always had a strong sense of style. People do not simply attend. They show up with personality. There was also the usual event-day preparation: making sure everything was together, getting where I needed to be, and wondering what the space would look like this year.

And then there was the weather. The sky was cloudy, there was a little drizzle here and there, and the humidity was kicking my ass. 😂 Hair, makeup, clothes, everything was being tested before I even made it through the door. But once I got in the car, the preparation part was basically over. Now it was time to see what Serendipity 2026 was actually going to give.
The arrival had its own little sequence. From the parking area, the first thing was the bridge. Before I even crossed it, I could already hear the music bumpin in the distance. That changed the whole walk. I was not just walking toward the event anymore. I could hear it before I could fully see it. The closer I got, the louder the music became, and the anticipation started building before I ever reached the entrance.

Once I crossed the bridge, the next stop was the small check-in house. Guests either showed their tickets or gave their names if they were on the list. I gave my name and received a wristband with a QR code. The code connected guests to some of the interactive parts of the event, including taking photos and voting for best dressed. I did not spend much time with the digital side of it, though. By that point, I was more interested in what was happening right in front of me.
After check-in, the vendors came into view. There were different tables and displays along the walkway, giving people something to stop and look at before reaching the main event space. Fashion, accessories, handmade pieces, little finds. People were moving through the area, stopping at tables, talking, browsing, and slowly making their way toward the event.
By then, the music was louder. The crowd was starting to feel closer, and that was when the day really started to shift. The preparation was over. The anticipation was turning into the actual experience.

There is always a moment right before you are fully inside an event like this. You are close enough to hear the music, close enough to see people moving around, and close enough to know the event is already happening, but you have not fully stepped into it yet. That little space in between has its own mood.
You start wondering what the décor looks like, who is already there, what everybody is wearing, whether the weather is going to matter, whether the event will feel familiar, or whether it will feel completely different from the year before. You can prepare the outfit. You can plan the drive. You can check the weather ten times. You can make sure you have everything you need. But you cannot really prepare the mood. That has to meet you when you get there.
And that is what I was waiting for. Before the first drink, before the pictures, before the crowd fully settled in, before anybody started dancing, and before the performances, the entire day was still sitting in front of me.
Expectation. Curiosity. A little excitement. And yes, humidity. A whole lot of humidity. 😂 But mostly, I was ready to get inside, look around, take everything in, and see what kind of mood Serendipity had waiting for me this time.
