Arrival, Décor & Fashion

Before I even stepped inside the tent, Serendipity was already showing me what kind of day it was going to be. Off to the side was that bright lounge setup with hot pink chairs, bold orange and pink backdrops, yellow balloons, oversized flowers and pillows with Serendipity à la Mode across them. Against that cloudy gray sky, the colors stood out even more.

That was probably my first real okayyy, I see what y’all are doing this year moment. 😂 The weather may have been dull, but absolutely nothing about the décor was.

Then came the entrance. A small red carpet led into the tent, with gold stanchions on each side. It gave the entrance just enough of a little moment without making everything feel overly formal.

Once I stepped inside, I immediately started looking around. To the left was complimentary champagne being served as guests entered. That was a nice touch. You literally walked in and were handed a glass of champagne like, welcome... now go enjoy yourself. 😂

To the right were the DJs. Straight ahead was the dance floor and stage. Surrounding everything were tables, gold chairs and floral centerpieces.

That was when I noticed one of the biggest differences from 2025. The layout had changed, and I actually liked it better. There seemed to be more breathing room this year. More space to move around, stop and talk, walk toward the bar, head toward the dance floor or just stand somewhere and take everything in without feeling like you were squeezing around tables.

It flowed better. And for an event like Serendipity, where people are constantly moving, socializing, taking pictures and eventually getting up to dance, that matters.

The tables themselves were simple and elegant, with white linens, gold chairs and floral arrangements right in the center. The flowers carried the same bright color story you saw outside — pinks, oranges, yellows and greenery.

The décor was not trying to be quiet. It was colorful. It was fun. It looked like summer even when the sky didn’t.

And then the fashion started flowing right into it. That was one of the first things I noticed once more people arrived. Bright orange. Yellow. Pink. Green. Bold prints. Florals. Flowing dresses. Fitted looks. Suits. Statement shoes. Accessories that added even more color.

People were wearing the same kind of energy the décor was giving. Nothing looked overly coordinated or forced, but somehow it all worked together.

The flowers were colorful. The furniture was colorful. The balloons were colorful. And then the guests came in wearing just as much personality.

That is what made the whole space feel complete. The fashion was not separate from the décor. It became part of it. The room already had a color story, and the people added another layer.

Against the cloudy sky, that stood out even more. The weather was gray. The people were not.
